Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain given first call up to England Under 21s
Add to My Stories Alex Oxlade- Chamberlain put the disappointment of missing out on a Barclays Premier League move behind him on Wednesday with an England U21 call-up.
The Southampton striker, 17, was named in the U19 squad last week but has been promoted for Tuesday's friendly in Italy after a series of excellent displays.
Under 21s manager Stuart Pearce said: 'He is showing a lot of promise so we thought we'd bring him into the squad.'
