Bolton close to finalising 2.5m deal for David Wheater
Add to My Stories Bolton Wanderers are set to finalise a 2.5million deal for Middlesbrough's David Wheater today after the clubs reached a compromise on the fee for the England Under 21 centre-back.Bolton manager Owen Coyle hopes to have Wheater, 23, in the squad to face Chelsea on Monday.
Middlesbrough were interested in Swindon defender Sean Morrison, 20, as a possible replacement but he is now expected to join Reading for 250,000.
