Monaco sign Diarra from Real Madrid
MADRID: Real Madrid have agreed to sell Mali midfielder Mahamadou Diarra to struggling French first division side Monaco, the Spanish club said on Thursday.
"Real Madrid and AS Monaco have agreed the transfer of the player Mahamadou Diarra," Real said in a brief statement on its website.
"The agreement is dependent of the player passing a medical exam, as well as the signing of the contract with his new club."
The 29-year-old Mali international, signed from Lyon in 2006, has struggled to make the first team this season under coach Jose Mourinho.
