Manav downs Divya

MUMBAI: Manav Panchal did take time to find his feet, before he outplayed Divya Sharma 3-1 to inch closer to the main draw in the CCI international Invitation Snooker tournament at the Wilson Jones billiards Hall on Friday.

Before Manav could warm up, Divya ran away with the first frame. That was all that Divya could offer as there was no stopping the Malabar Hill Club cueist from advancing with a 49-61, 58-48, 72-44, 92(58)-35 win.

North India Association`s Mahesh Jagdale stopped the good run of Himanshu Jain, a collegian from Hyderabad, but not before he was taken the distance to clinch a spot in the final qualifying round with a 92-41, 40-56, 77-26, 41-5, 78-51 victory.
